Sea Commander in action

7th June 2008. Had a great afternoon at the lake. The Sea Commander took to the water for the first time. Thanks to the varnish she didn't leak. A newly fitted OS A5 glow plug, plus new Contest 10 fuel ensured easy starting and smooth running. The first time out I used a 40mm std prop, these was OK, the second time out I tried a 55mm prop - which I have a whole box of (courtesy of E-bay) and the nose was up & she planned brilliantly. The only slight fault was that after a while with the roof on, the engine slowed as it got a bit smoky in the engine room, some extra vents and epoxy to seal the exhaust should sort that out.
