Fixing up the Spitfire (car)
He is thinking about selling it. Drop me a mail at peter.harvey83@ntlworld.com if you are interested.
This car is called Fleur. Believed to be an Austin 7 Opal. Built in 1932 & restored by Mac Bonar in 1996 to original spec. 747cc side valve engine with manual advance and retard / throttle on steering wheel. This is actually my Dad's car - but we had such fun filming the Spitfire I thought we would do a page for this one as well. Starting with handle is a bit novel - and lack of seatbelts (or the requirement for them) keeps your eyes on the road.
