RTF (ready to fly) model aeroplane from Hobbyzone. Whilst these are sold almost as toys, they are great value, tough and excellent for the beginner. I have made a number of modifications:

1. Converted the radio control from 27mhz to 35mhz - to comply with with the rules at my flying club, to allow me to use my computer radio and to have enough channels to add flapperons.

2. Added a carbon fibre rod to the underside of the wing - channeled out with a really sharp knife and stuck in with twon part epoxy (slow setting Araldite) - to stiffen/strengthen the wings and reduce the dihederal (otherwiaw the ailerons wouln't work properly).

3. Added flaperons - this give the plane ailerons which will bank the plane for turning and both move down together to act as air brakes to slow the plane down on landing.

I am pleased to say that the plane is a complete sucess - with one flight under the belt. I thouhgt that I would do the pics and video now - just in case I crash!

Pics belo include the 'flight box' - to keep everything organised as well as the hangar - at the end of the kitchen (that the wife pretends to ignore!).
